1@ My sweetest memory
Date written 08/06/2009 13:20:33
The day has finally arrived My son, Trisshen, aged 5 and daughter, Tivya, aged 4 were going to kindergartenIt was 6.45am when I woke my son to get ready for school. I stroked his cheek softly and whispered into his ears Wake up Almost immediately, he got up and asked, Mummy, where are we going I smiled and answered, To school, dear. He then covered himself with his blanket and curled next to his father. With some tickling tactics, I finally got him heading to the bathroom. Whilst putting on his uniform, he asked, Mummy, do I need to go to school Of course darling, I answered. After that, I went to wake Tivya. At first, I was hesitant to wake her up but the first day at kindergarten was important. I woke her up, and she complained, I want to sleep. I felt as if I was the meanest mother to wake a sleeping princess. She was very excited about her new uniform. Just before leaving for school after having her favourite Dugro 3 Plus drink, she hugged me tightly and said, I love you mummy, youre the best. What made me even happier was that my son joined in and gave me a bear hug too. He then kissed me and left milk stains on my cheek. I could see the sparkle in their eyes and it made me cry tears of happiness. My heart was filled with gratitude to God for blessing me with my precious children.Read the story

2@ 3 days before Mother's Day
Date written 08/06/2009 12:59:44
That was the day I felt deeply touched. At first, I was in a bad mood after my husband told me on the phone that our daughters didnt take their naps before being sent to playschool. I was upset and wanted to find out who was responsible for making my children miss their naps.I questioned the nanny and she told me that my 3 year-old was very playful and noisy, and hence her baby sister was kept awake. I was very annoyed and couldnt wait to give my 3 year-old girl an earful. As soon as I saw her after school, I started to admonish her. Mummy told you many times already, you must take your nap, and so does your baby sister. You mustn't be so noisy, you and then I paused to slap both her thighs. I continued to nag her but before I could finish what I wanted to say, my 3 year-old took out a card from her school bag. She said to me softly, Mummy, teacher said I have to give you this card. After looking at the card more closely, my heart melted. It was my very first Mother's Day card. There she was eagerly waiting to show me the card and here I was giving her a good scolding Since that day, I have learned to forgive mistakes, accept the bad, appreciate the good, and be more tolerant and patient.

3@ My Precious Son
Date written 08/06/2009 12:25:10
The first time I found out that I was pregnant, I cried as I was not ready to have a child However, my husband reassured me and told me that everything would be alright. After a difficult period of nine months, I was admitted to the hospital and I tried to have a normal delivery. But after 10 hours of labour, my childs heart rate dropped. The nurse rushed in and informed my husband that they had to perform a caesarean to save my childs life. I was terrified for my child and cried a lot. Finally, I gave birth to a son. Watching my son grow and learn new things everyday are the most precious moments of my motherhood journey. I hugged and kissed him when he was small, and now he knows how to hug and kiss me in return. It just makes my heart melt. No words can describe how happy I am as I watch him grow up strong and healthy. I wish to be a good mummy and hope to give him only the best. Im not perfect but for him, I try to be an excellent mum.

4@ Amir at the Beach for the First Time
Date written 08/06/2009 11:45:51
My cute little boy, Amir shouted Mummy, Im scared Mummy, Im scared when he first stepped onto the beach at Pantai Morib Sepang last year. It was so funny to see him that way. I was very happy just looking at him because he looked so cute in a pair of new and creative shoes that I made. After 10 minutes, his fear disappeared and he started running along the beach. Another 10 minutes later, his shoes were gone...he had taken them off, and was running as fast as he could. It was a very memorable and happy day at the beach, and I would take him there again next time.

5@ Our Miracle Child
Date written 08/06/2009 11:14:51
Our miracle baby, Kevin arrived into this world on the 27th February 2007. Before I was pregnant with Kevin, I had two miscarriages. Both times, the doctor gave us the bad newsthere was no heartbeat During the 3rd pregnancy, when I was expecting Kevin, I was diagnosed with Antiphospholipid Syndrome which was the reason why I had two miscarriages. I had to take a few types of medication throughout my pregnancy - Asprin, Prednisolone steroid and Clexane my husband would do the injection for me. At that time, my blood pressure was also very high and I was admitted to the hospital a couple of times. Kevin is a preemie - he was born during my 30th week, weighing only 1 kg and had to stay at the NICU for 1 1/2 months. Those were the longest 6 weeks that my husband and I had to bear it was really a very tough time for both of us. I remember one day, my husband and I had to go out of town and before we left for our trip, we went to see Kevin at the NICU very early in the morning at about 6am. When we reached there, all the other babies were asleep but he was awake. It was as if he knew we were coming to see him. Each time I saw him in the incubator, it really broke my heart. We visited him every single day without fail. I would massage him and even learned how to feed him with a spoon. He was discharged from the hospital when he reached 1.7kg. Kevin is now 2 years old and weighs 13kg. We are very proud of him. He is our bundle of joy. I will never forget the first time he crawled and the day he took his first step those were memorable milestones. I am happy to say that he is now an energetic little boy and is constantly running all over the house. We really thank God for him. We have gone through so much, but come to think of it, it was all worth it.
